ANOTHER ATTACK IN A KENYA ...>>

Gunmen have attacked Kenya's Garissa University in the eastern part of the country, near the Somali border.
Garissa County officials have told VOA that they suspect the attack is the work of the al-Shabab militant group.

VOA Somali service reports that gunshots and explosions were heard on campus Thursday, as well as ambulance sirens. Witnesses say the attack began early in the morning, around 5:30 a.m. and is ongoing. Kenyan Defense Forces are on campus now, engaging in gunfire with the attackers.
It is not clear how many attackers there are.

Kenya's Red Cross told the Daily Nation newspaper that at least two policemen and one student have been injured.

The university in the town of Garissa hosts 300 students, mostly from other parts of Kenya.
Al-Shabab is known for assaults on large buildings, such as the Westgate mall in Nairobi in 2013, and Somalia's presidential palace, which it attacked twice last year. The group has targeted Kenya in retribution for Kenya sending its troops to Somalia.
